I can share my experience

One thing I learned through YPO is to share my experience. I can tell you what happened to me, what I did and what I learned from it. You can decide whether any of it is useful.

You know your own life. I have only seen a small part of it. When I say ‘you should’, I can hear how easily I am assuming that I know what is right for you.

Sometimes I think the word ‘should’ ought to be banned. That is how strongly I feel about people assuming they know what someone else needs to do.

That is why I want to share these stories. I am putting down things I have experienced and the way I currently think about them. I just feel like sharing them.

Looking back, I can see connections between things that felt unrelated at the time. Steve Jobs spoke about connecting the dots looking backwards. That idea resonates with me. Your experiences will make a different picture.
