Between the chair and the keyboard
When I used to fix computers, there was a thought: most problems are between the chair and the keyboard.
I sometimes think most problems in life are like that. I keep going back to the way I am representing the situation in my own mind. What have I assumed? What am I doing? What am I expecting?
That is why I come back to thinking about my thinking. When I am stuck, inspecting the way I see the problem can change what I do next.
