What a privilege to be tired
Crazy busy week.
There’s a line that keeps coming back to me: “What a privilege to be tired from the work you really wanted to do.”
That’s how I feel.
We launched OnSiren last Wednesday. I was expecting 1,000 people to sign up. We reached 6,000 on the first day. By 7,000, we had to pause the marketing.
Since then, we’ve been inundated with appreciation, questions and feedback. I feel ecstatic. There’s so much to do, and now we have people using what we’ve spent so long building.
What really excites me is what happens as those people start connecting. Frontline officers sharing information, asking for help and making each other more aware of what’s happening around them. Their experience and feedback will shape what we build next.
I think of OnSiren as weaving the fabric of safety and security. Every officer who joins brings their knowledge, their judgement and their presence. Every connection adds something to that fabric.
For years, I carried this idea around. Now thousands of people can use it, challenge it and help it grow.
I’m tired. I’m excited. And I get to wake up tomorrow and keep building something I really wanted to build.
What a privilege.
