Three days in the forest
A friend invited me to Poland for a Vision Quest with a group that included people from South America. I ended up alone in a forest for three days, with no food and no water.
I look back at it and think: wow, I actually did that. At the time, I was sitting there dealing with my own demons. It was intense.
One thing I still remember is becoming very poetic. That has stayed with me as part of the experience.
I have explored different ways of understanding my own mind. I did Vipassana in 2013. I have spent time with Vedanta, non-duality and shamanic ceremonies. Curiosity has taken me to all sorts of places.
I have no single conclusion from all of it. These are experiences that have become part of how I think and how I relate to myself.
