Hearing direct feedback

Direct feedback can be uncomfortable to hear. I want to give the substance enough attention to ask whether it is accurate and what I should do with it.

Giving feedback carries a responsibility too. If I make the message so soft that the person misses the problem, I have left them with it.

People need to be willing to say the useful thing and willing to hear it.
